Starla Reisner, of Goodhue, MN, is proud to represent Goodhue County in the 2008 Mrs. Minnesota International Pageant. 

Mrs. Minnesota International is a pageant organized to showcase the many accomplishments of Minnesota's married women.  It's a chance to recognize and celebrate the multiple roles of wife, mother, professional and community volunteer.

Winners of the Mrs. Minnesota International Pageant move onto the Mrs. International competition in Chicago, Illinois in July of 2008.

Please visit The Compassionate Friends, a national non-profit self-help bereavement organization for families that have experienced the death of a child of any age from any cause. Starla takes great pride in supporting this organization.

 

 

Campaign Q & A
 

Q.What made you want to run for Mrs. Goodhue County 2008?
A. "After my husband encouraged me... I thought it would be a great chance to become a positive role model and a wonderful way to serve our community on a larger scale."

Q. Why did you choose your platform?
A. "The platform I chose ~ Laughing, Crying, But Mostly Loving ~ is truly near and dear to my heart! Dave and I gave our first baby back to the Lord after only 3 ½ days of life. She was born with a rare form of spina bifida of the brain. We have counseled with many young couples in the last 23 years and we want to continue to do so. Working with New Beginnings from Red Wing will give me another opportunity to help others in this capacity."

Q. Where have you found support in your campaigning career?
A. "My husband has been my greatest supporter, but also my family, friends, community and church!"

Q. What are your plans, for the pageant and personally, moving forward?
A. "I plan to continue my work-out regimen, eat healthy, attend speaking engagements, provide mentoring/counseling community services, and continue seeking sponsorship for the campaign ahead."
